
Dr. Nalliene
Chavez Rivera

Faculty
Dr. Nalliene Chavez is originally from Puerto Rico. She graduated from our program in 2019 where she served as PGY-2 Recruitment Chair and PGY-3 Chief. While in residency, she participated in the Osteopathic Track and Academic and Inpatient Concentrations. Since graduation, she has worked at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital as an Inpatient Hospitalist and provides GYN care at the Bradley Free Clinic. She also mentors Latinx secondary students in higher education, advises VTC Latinx medical students in leadership, and has started a Spanish speaking clinic with her husband. Outside of work, Dr. Chavez enjoys running her wedding flower business, hiking, hanging out with her cats, watching reality TV, trying new restaurants, building Legos, practicing yoga, and working with the Roanoke Diversity Center.

Dr. Ann Lucktong

PharmD Faculty
Dr. Ann Lucktong attended pharmacy school at the University of Pittsburgh and completed residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina Pharmacy Practice Residency. She has been with Carilion for 18 years. Her professional interests include diabetes and transitions of care. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, traveling, and gardening.
